The programmes are conceived and designed to teach the full process of artful and intelligent frame-by-frame (animated) filmmaking, its theory and practice. Students are encouraged to develop a personal and creative individual approach to the art of frame-by-frame filmmaking, and to explore various technical and conceptual issues related to it. Rather than emphasizing a single type of animation, the programme is designed to enable students to identify, from the widest possible range of techniques, the approach that is most suitable for the expression of their personal, original vision. Our goal is to provide, to future filmmakers, a solid foundation for research, discovery and improvement, and to facilitate the articulation of a style which affirms each student’s unique artistic personality. Students are carefully and individually exposed to the ever-widening possibilities of both digital and traditional technologies.
